The year is already flying by and we can’t believe February is already here! We think this month should be all about love, but not just because of Valentine’s Day. Groundhog Day, Black History Month, National Acts of Kindness Day and American Heart Month are all great opportunities to share a little love!
In honor of American Heart Month we want to remind everyone to take care of their hearts. Heart disease can be a silent killer so it’s important to know the warning signs and set yourself up for a healthy lifestyle. One of the best ways to live your best life is with regular exercise and a healthy diet. Whoever said heart-healthy meals had to be boring just needed a bit of recipe inspiration! We love fresh and easy dishes like romaine salad with avocado, red onion and grapefruit tossed in a light vinaigrette.
February 17th is National Acts of Kindness Day and we hope all our patients participate in some way. Sometimes even the smallest gestures can make a world of difference! Next time you’re out and about, don’t forget to smile and say hello to those around you.
Spring is great and all, but we don’t mind that Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter on Groundhog Day. We’re staying busy this winter plus, we’ll take any chance we can get for a little rain around here!
We hope you have a wonderful month and remember to spread the love! Happy February!
